I am a psychotherapist licensed as a Professional Counselor Supervisor in the District of Columbia, Louisiana, and Texas. I am also a National Certified Counselor, Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist, and Certified Life Coach. With over 20 years of experience, I utilize new age and mind-body techniques—including hypnotherapy and life coaching—to help others take charge of their lives. Clients and colleagues have described me as a “new age counselor” due to my integration of alternative methods with traditional psychotherapy.Prior to establishing my private practice, I enjoyed a 16-year career in education. I worked with the New Orleans Public School System, the Houston Independent School District, and the Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District. During this time, I served as a regular education teacher for grades K-5, a special education teacher for grades 6-8 and 9-12, a facilitator of a behavioral special education program, and a school counselor. My approach to counseling reflects my experience as an educator, primarily subscribing to a Cognitive Behavioral approach. This hands-on method involves acquiring and practicing new skills, often with homework as a means of reinforcement.

On a personal note, I’m a proud mother and devoted dog mom. These roles enrich my life and give me a deeper understanding of the joys and challenges my clients face every day. Being a parent and pet owner helps me relate to others on a personal level, enhancing my empathy and allowing me to connect more authentically with those I work with.
